Water is a precious resource and even though it flows readily whenever we turn on a faucet, it's important to conserve. Water is vital to the environment and conserving water helps our critical ecosystems, and saves us money too. We don't have to make major lifestyle changes to conserve water. Earth Day was designed to inspire awareness and appreciation of the Earth's environment held on April 22 , 1970. Founded by US Senator Gaylord Nelson as a teach-in it is still celebrated by many countries every year. Listen to Alina Bartell owner of Natural Clothing Company who has teamed with Grilla Bites in Snohomish to organize an Earth Day Celebration in the City of Snohomish.

Live Green Downtown Everett is a brand new project that provides pedestrians with the option to recycle cans and bottles at 10 different sidewalk locations. Up til now, pedestrians were either forced to carry their recyclables with them or throw them in a regular garbage can. Listen to 3 businesses who are managing weekly collection of the recyclables, Steward Title, Shockey Brent, and Prohibition Grille.
