In 1999, Ron Toppi worked in a local bike shop, not being able to serve people who could not afford the prices for maintenance of their bikes spurred Ron to salvage old bikes, parts, to provide free maintenance and then he donated these bikes to the Everett Gospel Mission. Ron's vision for helping people to help themselves has created a sustainable reuse, re-purposing model in a 501(c)3 non-profit called Sharing Wheels.
