Jack O’Donnell an Everett native shares some of his stories growing up in Everett. He was a columist for the Herald Newspaper "Seems Like Yesterday". http://www.heraldnet.com/news/herald-seems-like-yesterday-columnist-jack-odonnell-is-retiring.
The Kennister Sisters, Betty Purves, and Pearl Herbert who are in their 80's, not only grew up in Everett, but raised their families and worked to help their family make ends meet.
Karen Erickson who is recording the series "Voices of Everett's Past", lives in the historic Madrona Apts. in downtown Everett and walks to her office on Colby in the historic Culmback Building.

US Navy has put an extra emphasis in going Green. In 2009 the Secretary of the Navy announced 5 target areas to be achieved by 2020.
