Because of that, the coal industry has come up with a new plan: strip-mine coal in Montana and Wyoming, transport it on long coal trains through Northwest cities and towns, ship it on massive cargo ships off the West Coast, and sell it to Asia. The top of Trinity Lutheran College's parking garage in the city of Everett has been transformed into a rooftop garden with solar panels powering energy for the garage and grow lights for the greenhouse. US Navy has put an extra emphasis in going Green. In 2009 the Secretary of the Navy announced 5 target areas to be achieved by 2020. Tunnel Creek had become overgrown with non-native plants and clogged with litter. Despite the loss of a grant, two teens Angela Shen (left), 14, and Dominique De La Fuente, 12, co-founded Teens In Action to help their Lynnwood community in positive ways and remained steadfast to their mission.
