Community Solar Gardens are people uniting to create local solar projects. These gardens ideally are located within a town or city limits and serve residents who either leases a piece of the garden or subscribe to the project without owning the equipment.
Community energy carries all the environmental, economic and national security benefits of clean energy. Community solar can also keep utility dollars in the community with local investments, creating green jobs and driving down the cost of solar panels. Solar Panels have been put on the roof of the Snohomish County Administration building in Everett, WA. Energy will be used in the building plus to power vehicle - charging stations in the county parking garage.
